Next-Gen 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Preview | West Harrison, IN

Here at Hirlinger Chevrolet, we're always excited to hear about how Chevy is improving its models, including the ever-popular Silverado 1500. This tough pickup truck has seen various changes over the years, from its bold design to its top-notch performance. Here's what we know so far about the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that will soon be available at our West Harrison Chevy dealership.

Expect improved performance

According to General Motors President Mark Reuss, the next-generation Silverado 1500 will "include new powertrains with major improvements and efficiency, and performance." In addition to more power, he later stated the engine updates will also reduce greenhouse gases by 10 percent compared to the current offerings.

The current Silverado 1500 has four engines available, ranging from the standard 310-horsepower TurboMax™ to two powerful V8 engines and the efficient Duramax® Turbo Diesel option. No matter what the changes are to the engine lineup, we're certain the new Chevy Silverado will be more than capable of handling all kinds of tough jobs and towing.

Kicking off a new generation

The fourth-generation Chevy Silverado - currently available at Hirlinger Chevrolet - was the mark of a new design for the powerful truck. We expect the fifth-generation Silverado 1500 in 2025 to receive quite a few visual updates, inside and out. Additionally, the 2025 Silverado is slated to ride on an all-new platform, meaning additional things like its suspension and ride quality will likely improve as well.

2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 availability

Chevy has been fairly quiet when it comes to revealing additional details about the new Silverado, including when you'll be able to get behind the wheel. We expect the 2025 Silverado 1500 to be available for purchase in West Harrison in fall 2024.
